Yorkville Murals, an annual festival that celebrates public art, will be taking place in Yorkville this month from August 20-28, 2022. It’s a unique opportunity to see new murals, meet and discover artists, and enjoy food and drinks in a fun atmosphere at the heart of the city.
During the festival, new murals by artists such as Mikael B., Sage Szkabarnicki-Stuart, and Shelby and Sandy will be on view at the Murals Courtyard at 99 Yorkville.
At Yorkville Village, a site-specific installation by talented Canadian artist Jordan Sook—a life-size tree made from recycled clothing—can be seen at The Oval. Additionally, there will be other creative installations on display in the area, art talks lead by artist Matt Gondek, pop-up shopping experiences, cultural activations and more.
On Saturday, August 27, 2022, there will be a YVM Block Party from 1:00pm–11pm, and admission is free but you’ll have to reserve tickets in advance.
